 Boston Terriers

URGENT**** URGENT****URGENT
American Boston Terrier Rescue (ABTR) recently answered the call to rescue 10 Boston Terriers from a horrid, animal abuse situation. Our sister rescue Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) has consented to helping us fundraise, foster and find forever homes for the 9 dogs that we actually received as one female was put down because she was in such bad shape.
Thankfully, neighbors in the Mountain Home, AR community called their local officers, on two separate occasions, to check on the welfare of the animals living there. Both times dogs were found living in filthy conditions inside the home, with the entire home being covered with feces, urine, and trash. The officers also found and observed five dogs outside with no food or water. It was also learned later that none of the dogs had been given the required rabies vaccinations and the "owner" was apparently not living at the residence due to the conditions prevailing there.
The dogs are scared and they just hunker in the back of their crates. It is feared that a few of the females are pregnant as it is apparent the "owner" was breeding the dogs. The females have been overbred as determined by the hair loss on their hindquarters and sagging mammaries. Most have marked hair loss and it is assumed that is due to the fleas they were covered in.
The good news: the "owner" of these dogs is charged with twenty-three misdemeanor counts of Cruelty to Animals and also with fourteen misdemeanor counts of Failure to obtain Rabies Vaccinations for the dogs.
The bad news: Sister rescues, ABTR and FOHA, need your help! Won't you please help us provide food and medical attention until these precious souls are well enough to be placed in their forever homes?

Thank you for your support
We at American Boston Terrier Rescue have no ongoing sponsers, subsidies, grants or other steady supporter paying for the vetting care of the rescue dogs. All vet bills, dog food and anything else the dogs need are paid for out of the adoption donations and my own pocketbook. Any Donations are appreciated.

You may donate to either rescue group as the funds raised by both groups will be used to pay these dogs vet bills. Any extra funds that are raised will be put into ABTR' and FOHA's general fund to help the many other dogs that we rescue who need funding. Please help us help them and donate generously. Thank you.
